About this event:

Blues singer–guitarist Charlie Love talks about his upbringing and career with his Silky Smooth Band and performs live examples of his music. Born on the South Side of Chicago in 1956, Love was introduced to the blues by his parents. For them, the sounds were a celebration of the human spirit and helped them to endure the stress of everyday living. Love, playing signature tunes such as “The Blues Keeps Following Me,” “Long Distance Call” and “Somebody Have Mercy” is appearing around town this summer, for details, view his website charlielove.net. Presented in cooperation with The Mayor’s Office of Special Events, City of Chicago.
