DESCRIPTION:<p><em>Understanding Today's Students</em> presents <em>Autism, From Diagnosis to Treatment</em> with&nbsp;Gregory Stasi, PhD in Clinical Psychology and Sara Panian, MA in Speech and Language Pathology.<br><br>Does your child have:<br><em>Difficulties with social interaction</em>?<br><em>Problems with verbal and nonverbal communication</em>?<br><em>Repetitive behaviors or narrow, obsessive interests</em>?<br><br>In this lecture, Dr. Stasi and Ms. Panian will:<br><em>Discuss core symptoms related to Autism</em>.<br><em>Offer explanations of disorders on the Autism Spectrum</em>.<br><em>Present information on treatment options</em>.<br><br><em>Understanding Today's Students</em> is a collaborative program in cooperation with the staff of the Rush Neurobehavioral Center (RNBC) and the Chicago Public Library.<br><br>RNBC is an approved provider of professional development credits by the Illinois State Board of Education for teacher certification renewal plans.&nbsp; RNBC is a not-for-profit organization offering continuing education programs to inform teachers of neurobehavioral disorders. 1.5 hours CPDU credit will be given for this program.<br><br>Phone: (312) 744-1926</p>
