Nextbook
Nextbook, a national initiative to promote Jewish culture in new and innovative ways, has partnered with Chicago Public Library and the North Suburban Library System to offer Jewish cultural events to Chicagoland residents. Its national scope includes: partnerships with other organizations in select cities to create innovative public programs; the Jewish Encounters book series in which prominent authors write about notable individuals, issues, or events in Jewish history; and Nextbook.org, a website featuring a daily cultural news digest, original features, podcasts and an annotated list of recommended books. Nextbook was established to be a gateway to Jewish literature, culture, and ideas for Jews and non-Jews alike.
Nextbook offers author events, readings and other public events at the Chicago Public Library as well as other Chicagoland venues.
