Book Title: Wintersmith

Author: Terry Pratchett

Review:
This third installment in Pratchett's Tiffany Aching series once again succeeds as he attempts to extend his imaginary planet of Discworld and it's undeniable quirks to a younger generation. Adults worldwide have enjoyed the tales of Granny Weatherwax, Rincewind, and Captain Vimes, but now children have their own special heroine, written with the same varying light humor and occasional hints of chiding morality. This time, tweenager Tiffany Aching takes the ropes as a new witch's apprentice in the very small, rural 'country' of Lancre in her third such adventure. This time, however, Tiffany isn't facing a soul-sucking spiritual monster, or just adjusting to life as a witch - she's come face to face with the peril all teens face, love. And the fact that it all has to do with an enormous spiritual entity who can freeze all life on Discworld for eternity, gets even worse.  I highly recommend this book and all its' prequels to anyone who enjoys fantasy and funny literature in general. It's very well written and holds a special place in my heart for being the first Pratchett book I ever read.
